These were the first production cars to feature an all-fiberglass, lift-off hood. “The Six Pack 440 was introduced as a midyear option, and with it came the mandatory addition of the Super Track Pack and its 4.10:1 gears in the Dana 60 rear, either the A-727 automatic or 833 manual transmission, and no wheel covers on the black-painted (regardless of body color) steel wheels with chrome lug nuts. Models ordered as such are commonly referred to as “A12” cars, for the option code, and are a rare find, with only 1,907 Super Bees (and 1,412 Road Runners) built, 29 of which were exported to Canada (and 21 Road Runners). Disc brakes, wheel covers, cruise control, and air conditioning were not available for your 440 Six Pack Super Bee, making the cars true performance beasts from the get-go.” says Brian Stupski.

The innovative fiberglass hood mentioned earlier, finished in non-reflective “Organosol” black paint, the hinge-less, scooped hood was held in place by four chrome bezel-equipped pins, and had an open fresh air scoop. The idea was to make cars even lighter, but the driver had no way to shut out the weather from the air cleaner element. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Race Hemi With Amazing Engine Setup

The suspension was completely upgraded with a full Hotchkis Suspension Kit including sub-frame connector. The Braking system was upgraded with a Wilwood disc system. The 440 engine was replaced with a “true vintage race hemi engine” with a dual plug setup with original Accel dual head distributor and a cross-ram intake. The engine was completely rebuilt with the street in mind – 425+ HP

The transmission is a 727 Automatic with a reverse manual valve body, meaning you shift gears on the console. (PRN123) More than $80K was spent on this drive-line. You will not find another engine setup like this. Custom exhaust with ceramic coated pipes and Magnaflow system make the Charger shake the ground. 1964 Dodge Charger Hemi Concept Car

1964-dodge-charger-hemi-concept-carThis 1964 Dodge Charger Hemi concept car was created in 1963 on the underpinnings of the Polara and was meant to bring in the spotlights Chrysler’s newest engine at that particular time, the now iconic 426-cubic inch (7.0-liter) Hemi V8.

As far as we know, the car was in the possession of the late John M. O’Quinn and has been owned by several collectors over its 47-year existence. It was painstakingly restored by multiple award-winner Fran Roxas and it has one of the original 15 race Hemi engines, rated at 600+ horsepower, under the bonnet.

bbin十大平台网The 1964 Dodge Charger Hemi concept car comes with a 3-speed automatic transmission, independent torsion bar front and rear semi-elliptic leaf spring suspension, 4.56:1 “Sure Grip” rear axle and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
