All proceeds from the auctionbbin十大平台网 will go to the renovation of the Institute’s infusion center, providing a more comfortable and soothing setting for patients to receive chemotherapy treatments.
GM President Dan Ammann and his wife, Pernilla, chief operating officer of Mother New York, will chair the Annual Dinner on Saturday, April 26, at the Fox Theatre. This is the fourth consecutive year that a member of GM senior leadership has chaired the event. Read more!
The guys at Supervettes made something really amazing – took the old C6 and gave it a facelift with a stunning aerodynamic body kit. Available for any C6 Corvette, the kit features a carbon fiber body, several details borrowed from the C7 and four round taillightsbbin十大平台网. Check out the press release:
The Ultimate Supervette… “SV8.R”
“We started designing the Concept which we have since named the “SV8.R” back in 2009. Our vision and goal was to create an entirely new body for the C6 Corvette that would capture the Supercar essence that the Corvette lacked, at least visually in the past few generations. There’s no argument that its drive train is one if the best on the market, and THE very best bang for your buck available today.. but it still lacked something. So we went to the drawing board. We wanted to create what we thought GM should have designed, but can’t due to a small box their design team must stay inside to meet profit margins and sales goals.
We decided to completely replace the entire exterior with a new 100% Carbon Fiber Supervette body. A super contemporary design, capturing some design cues from past generations like the C2 and C3… and of course the traditional round round lights. Ironically, keeping the round tail lights, but executing this idea in a very modern way, was our #1 focus when we first started sketching… and its been without a doubt the most controversial part of the new C7 design. Well, since we are not commercial fans, we certainly remember Chevrolet’s first “Find New Roads” spot, which was launched in February, included a short scene featuring the 2014 Corvette Stingray and a virtual flying stingray. That video was a mash up that included several models, but now the whole conception is renewed and we get to see the full stingray vs. stingray battle, as the American automaker released the “Showdown” commercial.
And while chasing down the city streets with a hih-tech object, this commercial is meant to tell us “Your imagination can take you everywhere.”. As Chevrolet says: “The 2014Corvette Stingray was designed to take you on an unprecedented ride and unleash your subconscious. Watch and see why.” Watch the Ad on Read more!
Chevrolet provided the first look at nine high-performance concept cars at the SEMA Show. The horsepower-infused range includes stylized versions the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray, SS sports sedan and a variety of restyled 2014 Camaros – including the all-new Z/28.
“From the all-new Corvette Stingray to the new Camaro Z/28 and SS performance sedan, Chevrolet is America’s choice for performance cars. Our new lineup of racing-influenced models gives customers more choices for exciting driving experiences,” said Chris Perry, vice president of Chevrolet marketing. “It’s our most diverse range of performance-car choices in nearly 20 years.”
Through the end of September, Camaro’s total sales lead over Mustang was more than 5,000 for the year, putting it on track to be the industry’s best-selling sports car under $50,000 for the fourth consecutive year. The Camaro enters 2014 with revised styling and the new Z/28 model – the most track-capable Camaro in the car’s history.
The all-new SS returns Chevrolet to its rear-wheel-drive performance sedan roots, established with the small-block V-8 in the 1950s and enhanced with the Impala SS in the early 1960s.
And Chevrolet dealers can hardly keep the all-new Corvette Stingray in stock, with sold orders rolling to new owners off transporters.
“Racing is the common thread among Chevrolet’s performance cars and that comes from decades of transferring race technology to our production models,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Corvette, Camaro and SS deliver well-balanced, exhilarating driving experiences forged on the racetrack and refined for the street.”
Many of the concepts unveiled at the SEMA Show have roots at the racetrack. Others show racing-influenced styling for the street. Most incorporate Chevrolet Accessories available from Chevrolet dealers, allowing customers to personalize their new performancecar with factory-engineered and validated components that match the performance and quality of original equipment. Hello guys, it’s been a while, but we come up with very extravagant 2014 Corvette Stingray Widebody by Forgiato. Some of you may think this is an ugly and useless car, but we need some crazy delivery from time to time. In record time, Forgiato Wheels put together an amazing widebody 2014Corvette Stingray for the SEMA Show, just months after the model was launched.
For this project, the wheel-maker collaborated with TS Designs to widen the C7′s body. This not only boosts the model’s appeal, but also makes room for predictably enormous 21-inch front and 22-inch rear rims, with teal rims and black spokes.
Besides the wheels and widened body, they also fitted LEDaccentbbin十大平台网 lights to the headlights, a new front splitter and Forgiato’s special Corvette grille, which will be available to buy. It’s got charisma for miles!
As you can see, the project car is already for sale at $150,000. That’s quite a lot, but then it’s still cheaper than an Aston Martin. Check out the images and videos on Read more!
Vossen, the Miami-based wheel company has picked the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for a model to show a new set of wheels with a directional design. When the 2014 Corvette Stingray came out back in January, some people said they didn’t like the taillights, but really, most of them were in complete awe of its beauty. No longer looking like a piece of fiber glass toppaware, the new Corvette could be the most beautiful carChevrolet has made in the last few decades.
The info trickling down from people who’ve bought the new Vette suggests its everything they expected and more, but most want parts to make theirs more special, not easy when you consider its only a couple of months into production.
Showcasing them is the perfect opportunity to use the Corvette on track, and the video that resulted is pure mouth-watering eye candy, a delight on this sunny Saturday morning. Check out the burnouts as you sip on your morning coffee and don’t forget to share the new Stingray. Read more!
